This Year's Hottest Apps...
28 January 2013
With so many of you now owning smart phones, this month, we have picked the best of the new mobile applications for gamers, music fanatics and more...

Angry Birds Star Wars
Not just the best Angry Birds game: the best Star Wars spin-off in a long time! You still fire at pigs, but it's augmented with light sabres, lasers etc.
Barclays Pingit
Pingit gets our vote for the most innovative apps. It allows anyone to send money to friends using just a mobile number - genius!
National Rail Enquiries
A must-download for all you train users this year. It's a slick way to search for train times, check for disruption, set alerts to wake you up at your stop and even better....tap through to buy tickets.
Song Pop
For all you music lovers out there, this game involves guessing the titles of songs from clips as quickly as possible in a range if genres before challenging friends to beat you - very addictive!

Kick start your New Year!
2 January 2013
Making ambitious New Year's resolutions is a favourite January activity. Another common activity is breaking or forgetting those same resolutions come February!

I bet you, like many, began 2013 with the best of intentions, vowing to ditch the bad habits for good. The most common resolutions include losing weight, getting fit and quitting smoking.
But a recent survey states that just three quarters of 3,000 British adults surveyed admitted they were no longer confident they would stick out their resolutions until February!
One easy decision you can make (and stick to) is to book your room at CityBlock for 2013/14. With a range of room types to suit all budgets, all inclusive rates and a range of fantastic facilities you won't be dissapointed!
Just email info@cityblock.co.uk to arrange your viewing today. But hurry, our rooms have a habit of booking up quickly!

Happy Movember!
1 November 2012
As I’m sure most of you are aware, Movember is an annual event whereby men around the world grow moustaches to raise money for charities such as The Prostate Cancer Charity.
The event which reportedly started in Australia in 2001, has now become a worldwide phenomenon endorsed by multi-national brands, celebrities and is attracting a lot of attention on social media.

Movember is a fantastic cause and thanks to its humorous approach, it raises a significant amount of funding and awareness for charities.
We’d love to see our CityBlock lads getting involved in Movember and it’s not to late to register. For more information and to donate to the Movember cause, visit http://uk.movember.com/
We’d love to see your moustaches so simply post your photos on our Facebook page throughout the month and we’ll vote for the best one! http://www.facebook.com/pages/CityBlock/130707843656999?ref=hl
