Across our three locations, we offer accommodation for both individuals and groups ranging from standard ensuite rooms and superior ensuites with double beds to studio apartments with king-size beds.
For those interested in sharing a home with friends, we provide accommodation designed for group living, allowing you to stick together with your friends throughout your University experience.

Aside from incredible ensuite rooms, at CityBlock, we want our students to feel like they have a home away from home. So, all of our blocks across our three locations are equipped with a fantastic range of facilities available to all of our residents.
At Berkshire House, our student accommodation in Reading, you can take advantage of the extensive social space, including a fitness zone, media rooms, private dining rooms, a study area and a communal lounge. Perfect for those who want areas where they can chill with their friends and unwind after a long day.
At The Village @ The Viaduct, our student accommodation in Durham, the block is set in a peaceful, natural environment surrounded by trees and landscaped gardens, and the building includes a common room with a 47” Smart TV, table tennis, board games, comfy seating and vending machines.
In our three student accommodation in Lancaster blocks, you can find a shared contemporary living spaces with open plan, fully-fitted and equipped kitchens. We also offer an outside garden space, a communal lounge with large screen TVs, a pool table, a private dining room and a quiet study space in our new Gillows block. You will also benefit from a shared contemporary living space and access to a peaceful garden area on the ground floor in our new Marton Street block.

Student Wellbeing
At CityBlock, the wellbeing of our student residents is incredibly important to us. Our ethos is that we are one big family, and we want our students to feel right at home in their CityBlock accommodation and have a great student experience.
When you rent with CityBlock, you’re not just renting a room, you’re creating a home here with us, and we want to do everything in our power to help our students feel supported. We’ve invested in mental health training, allowing our on-site teams to be able to identify concerns and help signpost students to support services at their University.
Our on-site teams are always there for you to have a friendly chat or a cup of tea. They go out of their way to get to know all residents and help them with anything they need. We organise regular get-togethers on-site, including pizza nights, game nights and quiz nights, so you can get to know your fellow students and feel part of a community here at CityBlock.
